i dunno, just cram it in the top drawer...

for the girls who organize the groceries and put books by height on the shelf and put silverware together in the dishwasher...

kudos to you! it's more efficient and it makes sense once you think about it, but that's just it, i don't think about it "naturally" -- i have to reprogram my brain to put things in a place that seems so logical to y'all.

for example, i asked mel for help in my room b/c it had become a little "organizationally challenged" (aka it was a mess). Closets overstuffed, clothes all mixed up in drawers, random items tucked here and there....arrgh. so she helped me! thanks bunches sis!!

(truthfullly she worked and i watched) this organizing thing came so easy to her, what she accomplished in a hour-ish would have taken me endless hours of standing there looking at the closet, wonderin where to begin. she came in asked a few questions and wah-lah...the room was 1000% better.

[thanks melly! ah it's much better:)]

so all this to say -- the world is a better place because of you type people --
whatever that type is :-)

oh, man. i LOVE the challenge of entering a room and being given the task of completely reworking it. i'm serious....that sounds like SO MUCH fun i'm actually kinda jealous of mel. you need to post a pic of your newly decorated room!

unfortunately ... it was the kind of decorating you don't "see" ... in fact, only to the person who lives in the room is there a "before" and "after"! but I'm glad you're happy, sis. it was done with much love for you! we'll get to the rest later! :-)

btw, the world needs all types of people - yes, even the obliv, unorganized messies of the world create color and smiles!! i'm so thankful that God knew what i needed and gave me a sis and a hubby who balance and challenge my rule-oriented, black/white, perfectionistic, everybody-do-it-my-way-because-it's-best lifestyle! ...
at 43, with their help, and my kids' input (and LOTS of God's grace), "i've come a long way, baby"! maybe my kids can put up with me when i'm old, thanks to years of learning to soften up, let up, loosen up, and lighten up!!!

those behind the scenes projects are fun! you get the satisfaction of walking in and knowing that even things in drawers and closets are tidy and organized. yay!

tanya,
melly is undertaking another challenge today...this time it is noodle's room -- and it's a little scarier than my room.

Well, I don't have to tell which type of person I am...but I am thankful that everyone is not like me...even though I might have moments where I seem to demand it. Love you lots Cooka & miss you too.
