church family

i love RiverChase -- the people! praying together, hanging out, just being there for each other. WOW aren't we blessed? it's been a tough weekend 'cause of La's ACL surgery, but there is something so reassuring in knowing that God hears our prayers & that people are praying -- for Lauren, for RCC, for each other. i just needed to say how thankful i am for my church family. :-)

i love this day

today is saturday and i loved this day! the weather was great. i rode bikes with colby -- great fun memory making day.

Lord, thank YOU for Your goodness & for surprises, like today. Thanks! and bring some new folk to church tomorrow. please use us as we serve You tomorrow. i love You Lord & i'm going to sleep tonight with a heart that is so grateful to You for this day.

I'm bringing "grodie" back

If Justin is "bringing sexy back" -- then i'm bringing "grodie" back!!

Actually i'm just bringing the word back. (grodie -- pronounced grow dee) The RCC ladies had an 80's party and it triggered some memories of words that i like. i especially like the word grodie. When someone steps in doggie poo the correct response is "ewww grodie"; when you have to put your hand down the disposal because a spoon accidentally fell in there -- definitely grodie! When you're sitting on the couch & you briefly lose your pen for a second & you have to try to find it between the cushions -- grodie! That thing that a parent uses to suck the stuffy slimy thick goo from your child's nose --GRODIE! in fact that's "grodie to the max!!! " hee, hee, hee! ROFL? i am

ah, the good ole days. :-)

oh & just in case i need to say something spiritual -- i'm looking at the mountain that our BIG God created & the beauty of the mountain is the absolute opposite of grodie! :-)
