one day i'll be...the grad, the gradster, the grad-dio, the g-rad! enough of that!! can u say-- sleep depravation? hee, hee!
here's my deep ponderings for today...
i think i've learned something from c.c (the Reeves' dog) Pets and our relationship to God have some commonalities...
- sometimes we come to the Lord just to sit with Him & enjoy being in His presence. (dogs do that, u know)
- sometimes we come to the Lord because we are thirsty & hungry & He can feed us! (u make the dog connection from here on...) :-)
- sometimes we "beg, beg, beg" for a treat -- sometimes He gives the treat to us (& sometimes He says "no" for our own good because He knows that what looks like a treat will not be for our overall best interest)
- sometimes we need Him to help clean up the messes we make!
- sometimes we have to get punished & we need lots of grace & forgiveness.
- and last thought of today.... i want to expectantly "wait for His return!
I'm sure there's more but not today. please feel free to take this "bone & run with it!" hee, hee

david looked over my shoulder and asked what i was reading. i told him it was your blog, and that you were drawing a parallel between God and a dog. he shook his head, mumbled something about you going off the deep end, and then sauntered off. i'm pretty sure he's off in a corner praying for your salvation.
lol
I love it! (especially the last one)and Tan, God is not the dog--we are; I know your brain is wet, so its okay.
my poor, water-logged brain. i will recover
you girls make me laugh! :-)
i'm just being thankful carol didn't get swept away in the water! i heard a good story from tracy m. about josh and colby and a fish rescue. let's see a spiritual parralel come out of that one carol!
forget it...you can't learn anything from PETS...but, those could be good comparisons for something else???
beth doesn't believe in pets. hope she likes kids.
